I can’t wait to start working with this incredibly talented team to continue building out the Swingby protocol. Chaos-MainNet will be launching on December the 28th and it will change the world of DeFi forever.
Things are seriously starting to heat up as Swingby approaches their December 28th launch, which will bridge Bitcoin to Ethereum via WBTC, and there is no one better than Jacob to make sure it lands a home run.
Swingby Labs was formed in 2018, created by a group of passionate crypto enthusiasts joining forces to make tools that connect Bitcoin with other blockchains.
Swingby’s latest protocol, Skybridge, builds trustless bridges between BTC, Ethereum, Binance Chain and, other blockchains secured by a network of node groups that execute fast cross-chain swaps with ‘threshold signatures’ and ‘multi-party computing’ technology.
Skybridge allows a user to move Bitcoin tokens to the Ethereum and Binance Chain blockchains without relying on a central custodian, opening up a whole world of DeFi capabilities such as liquidity pooling and DEX interaction with the most intuitive UX around.
And their plan doesn’t end there! Swingby’s ultimate goal is to bridge as many different assets and blockchains together, building “cross-chain gateways to DeFi”.
Swingby’s new CEO
Swingby is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacob Samuel as CEO, replacing Yusaku Senga who is stepping back from the executive officer position following a very successful funding round.
Jacob is a highly regarded DeFi advocate team leader who has spent the crypto boom working for the major exchange ‘Bitfinex’ and the stable coin dominating ‘Tether’. With a strong technical background as a past lead engineer in the blockchain space, Jacob specializes in product development, building teams and, identifying market opportunities.
Yusaku Senga, Founder said:
I am very proud of the entire Swingby team for performing so well so far. We have all worked so hard together to develop a successful decentralized token bridge, despite so many projects failing to do so. Now that the funding round is over and the protocol is running smoothly in our testnet environment I see no better time than now to hand over the reins to Jacob, who I think is the perfect person to build on these solid foundations and grow the company into a market-leading DeFi project.
